Reflection Questions: When it comes to an opportunity to give, do I: Not give at all? Give out of a sense of guilt? Give out of a sense of obedience? Give with a champion’s heart? How can I learn to give with the joy and belief of a champion’s heart? Specifically, today am I willing as part of my life mission to make a commitment to tithe and beyond in order to help us win the prize at First Church?
Reflection Questions: How can I offer more encouragement to the team in my life? How can I offer a loving challenge to help them be all they can be? Is giving a spiritual matter for me? Do I give out of obligation or joy? Do I see giving as an opportunity to partner with God in a sacrificial, disciplined manner to change lives or simply an economic exchange? What would it take for my heart to be converted to desire to give to serve God and others more than myself?
Reflection Questions: What is keeping me from fully running in such a way as to get the prize? What holds me back from being more disciplined with finances? What holds me back from giving more to God? What keeps me from tithing or living in generosity? Am I willing to trade some of my perishable prizes to invest an imperishable prize? Why or why not? Am I willing to genuinely pray for God’s help and guidance in becoming a Luke 8:3 giver?
Reflection Questions: What am I straining for in life? For what am I pressing ahead? Giving my discipline? My all? What would it take for me to train, focus, and press ahead in the area of finances and giving to God? Do I believe in what God is using First Church to do in the transformation of lives in Jesus Christ and am I willing to do all I can to make that transformation happen? Am I striving for the ultimate prize?
